Staff

Gary Harner has served as Associate Pastor of Discipleship at Bethel since 2012. Born in Paducah, KY, Gary was raised in Southern Illinois.  Gary graduated from Union University in Jackson, TN with a Bachelor of Arts major in Bible and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Frot Worth, TX with a master of Divinity.  
Gary and his wife Nancy bring a wealth of experience to the ministry here at Bethel having completed a pastorate of 25+ years in South Chicago Heights, IL. The Harners have two grown children, Angie, a costume designer in NY and Daniel, an accountant in South Holland, IL.

Dan came on staff, permanently, January 1, 2018. He has served bivocationally at FBC Manteno prior to beginning his service with us. He is employed by Gordon Electric and lives in Bradley,IL  He and his wife, Cara, have 4 children and have participated in numerour plays, musicals and dramas in the Kankakee area.

Cara joined our staff as part-time Church Secretary in March of 2018. The wife of our Minister of Worship, Cara brings experience from working in a law office and growing up in church.

Cara is super busy with her involvement at BBCHS Drama, Band and all the things a Mom does for 4 kids. We are privilaged to have her serving alongside.
